Who We Are.

According to Forbes, Black women are the largest demographic to start businesses yet, they are the least funded. Many times, this is due to the lack of resources, community and exposure at an early stage to promote growth and long-term traction.

Proxie aims to bridge this gap by creating and offering resources to black women-owned and diverse business.

Since starting in April 2020, Proxie has grown to a 1,700+ member online community that provides high-level content, partnerships and downloadable templates to new businesses and aspiring start-ups across the country.

Additionally, we offer high-quality technical assistance to non-profits, CDFIs and small business support organizations. We build high-impact programs, offer business strategy support, workshops and more.

What We Do.

Proxie takes pride in being part of the community and has made a commitment to give back. Proxie launched its philanthropy project, Consultation-for-a-Cause, where you can book a $25 consultation with Founder, Autumn, and 100% of all profits will be donated to a Detroit nonprofit for the quarter. To date, we have donated over $1800 to nonprofits and look forward to growing our impact!

Meet Our Founder.

After graduating with both a Bachelors and Masters of Business Administration, Autumn started her career at Accenture Detroit.

Quickly rising to the top of her starting class, she became a consultant in two years, but realized her purpose existed beyond corporate America.

In 2017, she started Detroit Dough - the first edible cookie dough company and manufacturer in Detroit. The idea quickly grew and sold more than 70,000 cups of cookie dough in less than two years. Autumn raised over $425,000 for the business.

She’s also created major partnerships with Little Caesars Arena, University of Michigan, Quicken Loans, Lululemon and more. Detroit Dough opened a concept store in Metro Detroit and within the first two weeks made over $20,000.

As Detroit Dough halted due to the pandemic, Autumn started Proxie out of the need to support new Black women-owned businesses.

Autumn’s goal for the next five years is to become a national advocate for Black women entrepreneurs.
